Mr. Jimmie P. Lee

Jimmie Lee, age 70, of Monroe, GA, passed away peacefully on January 2, 2026. Born in Madison, GA, on June 27, 1955, Jimmie was a man of many talents and wore many hats throughout his life, from landscaping to bricklaying and various other jobs.

In his spare time, Jimmie found joy in fishing, working on cars, and cooking delicious meals. He also enjoyed watching Gunsmoke on TV, and never missed an episode of WWE. Above all, he cherished spending quality time with his beloved grandchildren who knew him as Papa. He was the heart and soul of his family, and a true friend who was always there to lend a helping hand. Whether you needed car repairs or a ride, Jimmie was the first person you’d call. He was known for his unwavering willingness to help anyone, anytime.

Jimmie will be fondly remembered as a reliable and ever-smiling presence in the lives of those who knew him. Even in the face of adversity, he remained positive and made the most of every situation. Jimmie was preceded in death by his wife, Jennifer Davis, his parents, Willie and Elizabeth Lee, and his siblings, Gertrude Browning, Annie Bell Lee, Bro Lee, Willie Gene Lee, and Fannie Mae Crew.

He is survived by his children: Jimmy Davis and daughter-in-law Isabella Basinger, Ydrickus Rutledge and Tanjaneka Sims. He is also survived by his cherished grandchildren: Khalani Smith, Ariana Davis, Kenyanna Smith, and Antoria Brown, and also his brother and sister: Beatrice Lee and Jessie Lee.
