Mrs. Mae Pearl Hillman (Garrett) was born in Monroe, Ga on November 19, 1930, to Annie and Joseph Garrett. She was preceded in death by both parents and five siblings: Charlie Lee Garrett, Johnny Lee Garrett, Louella Latimore (Garrett), Mattie Mae Harris (Garrett), and baby brother Conyers Garrett. She was educated in Monroe, and as a young teenager she had to stop her education to help the family as did many of her siblings. She later met a soldier Milton Hillman and fell in love, married, and had two children. After Milton’s death, she moved to Atlanta in 1971 with her two kids. She found a church home she loved, Greater Piney Grove Baptist Church, Atlanta, Georgia. She joined under Pastor Flippin, became a faithful member and attended for over 47 years. She worked for several major hotel chains and retired from Brennan Jewish Nursing Home. She loved to cook and bake, loved to listen to gospel music and attend church. She leaves behind to cherish her memories her beloved Children Daughter, Cheryl Hillman-Andrews and Son, Kenneth Hillman (Trinette). Grandchildren: Sophia Hillman, La’Shawnn Williams, Kenshay Hillman, Kenneth Hillman, Jr., Ashley Andrews, Kendall Hillman, Kendarius Hillman, Michael Jackson and Juantavious Jackson. Great Grandkids: Ta’Daisia Hillman, Caden Hillman, Elijah Billins, Jada Campbell, Kamani Williams, Camden Campbell, Kendalyn Hillman, Amaree Hillman, David Jr., Har’Mani Hillman, Jacobe Stokes and Kenneth (KJ) Hillman, III and a host of other loving family members and friends.
