Earline Davis Baker

Earline and Merlin was born on September 9, 1960 in Walton County, Georgia to the late Jim Davis and the late, Bunnie Mae Harris. She was also preceded in death by her siblings, twin sister, Merlin Davis Slaton, Wilson Davis, Tommy Davis, and Fred Davis, Sr. Earline attended Walton County Public Schools in Monroe, Georgia. Afterwards she entered the workforce, and worked at Harrison Chicken Poultry for many years. Earline moved to Athens, Georgia in 1989 and began her career as a cook. She held this position for many years as well. Also in that same year she met the love of her life, husband, Horace Baker. When Earline wasn’t cooking, or in her flower garden she would help in the caretaking of her father. In fact she helped in many ways until his death. She was an outspoken, and very caring person. Earline will definately be missed by all whom ever knew her. Earline departed this earthly life on April 24, 2024 and leaves to cherish her memories, husband, Horace Baker; Sons, Jonathan Davis and Mario Baker; helped raised Rico and Tyronda Davis; Special Grandchild, Khaliah Davis; Brothers, Leon Davis, Tommy (Angela) Chandler, Freddie Harris, and Douglas Jackson; Sisters, Dorothy Davis, Betty Harris; and Ella J. Health; Nephew, Fred Davis, Jr. and Nieces, Tanjaneka Sims, Marquitta Butler and Laquitta Thomas, and a host of family and friends.
