George (Sammy) was Born December 15, 1950 to the late Mr. Johnny Floyd and Eula Mae Willingham. George was preceded in death by his wife, Marcie Ann Floyd; Special Friend, Dorothy Kelly; Siblings, Geneva Floyd, Barbara Brown, Lille Akridge, Curtis Floyd, and Mark Willingham. George attended Carver High School. He was employed for over thirty years with Universal Rundle, until he retired. George joined Triumph Church and was a faithful member. He served as the superintendent of the “School of Wisdom”. His favorite song was, “ Walk With Me Lord”. George was known for his thirst quenching lemonade. Both his family and church congregation loved it. George also loved sports, mainly basketball and football. His favorite football team was the Washington Redskins (Commanders). George was summoned to heaven, and he answered on August 13, 2024. He leaves to cherish fond memories; Children, Waikeitha (Andre) Gibbs, Kenzelo (Jessica) Floyd, Sheleitha (Roger) Gibson; Grandchildren, Whitney, Cordaryl, Taneia, Tonio, Cortez, A.J., Adrian, Peyton, Yavin; Great Grandchildren, Ty’Quarius, Quamari, Jakari, T.J., Ariel, C.J., and Kashton; Siblings, Artis Floyd (Louise), Johnny James Floyd (Cheryl), John Willingham (Elisa), Annie Ridgeway, Cheyenne Clark (Marvin), Ammie Ruth Williams, and a host of family and friends.
