Mrs. Dora Scott Carroll

Mrs. Dora Scott Carroll was born August 18, 1947 to Lou’Ella and Albert Scott. In 1996, she married Hanson Carroll. She was proceeded in death by her parents and husband; sisters, Joanne Scott, Margaret Strozier, Sandra Scott and Bertha Scott Leonard; brothers, Albert Scott and Walter Scott. Dora attended school in Walton County. At an early age, she became a faithful member of Mt. Enon Missionary Baptist Church. Under the leadership of Pastor Jarvis Brooks, she served on the Usher Board and Kitchen Ministry; serving whenever and doing whatever was needed. Her employment with Stone Containers began in 1985 where she retired after 26 years of dedicated service. Dora loved traveling with her family! She was loving, caring, very outspoken, said whatever was on her mind but such a sweet lady. She loved helping people whenever she could. Her memory will be cherished by many including her oldest son Ronnie Davis; and daughter, her “Big Baby” Roshona Davis. She also leaves behind her seven grandchildren; Shanquita McGinty, Shantricia Davis, Ronnie Davis, Jr., Shontavia McKinney, Royal Davis, Regan Davis, and Deshawn McKinney; four great grandchildren, Travis Hardeman, Haleigh Hardeman, Di’Milli Malcom and Jordyn Shaw; brothers, Rev. Tommy L. Scott and Sammy Scott; sister, Beverly Scott, and a host of nieces and nephews, last but not least, her little companion, King. Dora was a devoted wife, loving mother, and caring sister. She departed on April 09,2025 to be free from discomfort and pain. May her soul continue to be filled with joy and the glory of the Lord.
